some bumps an old thread with a reply and then deletes his own comment. so the thread gets bumped with no apparent reply

it's bringing up posts from the past that have ended. Ahnuld's being drunk in december, the forum being discovered, bye bye gators, etc. Apparently there is a way to do it without being seen hence "ninja" bump.

Bumping to contribute to and continue a good thread is fine. Ninja bumping is lame.

the good news is, you can't do this in the upgrade software any more. So after the weekend, no more ninja bumping ever.
