villein seemed pretty solid judging for the play so far. I planned on checking and betting any non spade river. In hindsight I sort of wish I bet the turn to charge him if he was on a flush draw. On the river does anyone bet for value with my line?

Just bet the turn. Your giving flush draws (and unlikely str8 draws) a free card and you arent making a K with a weaker kicker pay.
