I am thinking that if you are going to play this hand, you should rr pf, if only for defintion's purpose. I wasn't in the game, but the aggro sounds too scary for me to continue after the turn.

Nate, there is no straight.

I would probably have reraised preflop, but as played I think a raise in order, if you can do it quickly and confidently. This has got to be a major scarecard for an overpair as it completes a flush draw and a one card straight draw for any 7. Unless you know his hatred for you leads him to call even when he thinks he shouldn't, I think a bluff will work often enough against the typical player to make a play here. I think the bet without maybe even looking the last card is more likely sign of trying to show confidence from a player who is really not confident he will still be ahead after the river.

3bet preflop. For the turn I feel fold>3bet>call, taking the free showdown when he checks the river. River is a retardedly easy fold the way the hand has played because the whole deck just got there if he was drawing and he is never folding an overpair.

I would 3-bet far more often than I would limp pre-flop vs the average opponent, but your choice makes me wonder if this villain's range is odd and that contributed to your choice.

Important question to ask yourself - of the 10% hands you saw donkey raise with, what were they? Sometimes this type of player limps with premium hands and raises bizarre holdings only because he thinks he has to mix it up. What was the best quality limped hand you saw from the villain? I ask because the results may change your opinion about 3rd street as well as post flop. This is not a question I normally ask, but then again I would expect you to 3-bet on 3rd street so something isn't adding up for me.

I'd 3-bet preflop. Guys who play that many hands usually raise with any pair and any two big cards.

Once he called the clock on me, I'd call. Even though it looks like he might have A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or pocket sixes.

He didnt show down a lot of those hands. One time he got check raised on an Axx flop and folded KK. The other times he bet the hands agressively and they didnt go to showdown.

Results won't change it because I folded the river but I am pretty sure he had exactly 88 on that river.

[/ QUOTE ]Well, they're not squeaky clean, because he might have 88 as you surmised. But I'd call the turn thinking I had six outs. However, I'd only go to war if a 9 hit. Completing the straight just earns a call.

I think for approximately 15 seconds and he calls a clock on me.

As much as I really liked the line about hitting on an obviously experienced and possibly longing 65 yr old, that is classic.
