Default Three bet this monster, right?

Party 10/20. I'm running over the table, up 35BB or so, getting lots of folds out of everyone and showing down monsters when they finally resist.

I open-raise J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the button and the BB defends. He's tightish and has been giving up a lot but gets aggressive when he has something.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

He checks, I bet, he raises.

Three-bet, right?

If offered a free card on the turn, should I take it?

Guy.

i think the 3bet is fine, id prolly take the free turn here as opposed to if I raised a donk or if he just called my flop bet.

I'd definitly bet if you had K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and the board was J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

what do you intend to do on turn blank after just calling turn cr?

do you not think a free turn card attempt will work often enough to justify the raise? do you think the raise will kill your action if you hit on turn?

Pretty much always call this flop to preserve implied odds unless the BB has a history of check-raising with hands he won't necessarily take to the river. I think a free card attempt will work a lot of the time, but the chance to pick up an extra big bet or more upon hitting is too tasty to pass up with this many outs.

You have breakeven or better value now, and it might buy you an option on the turn. Seems like a very straightforward raise.

You're a favorite against everything here, so for equity reasons you must 3-bet. Also, following through with a turn bet here when you miss will be contigent on the metagame effects you plan to impress on your opponent and how you want your turn bets in similar situations to be interpreted.

If you 3-bet the flop here taking the free card is mandatory in my opinion unless you improve to a straight or better.
