Re: First hand in a tourney I get AA
[ QUOTE ]
OK. I have played with the button before and he seems a pretty bad player imo, not sure if he would have laid down his 55 [/ QUOTE ] We cant be result oriented here though. Just because he doesnt fold to a bigger raise here doesnt mean we shouldnt raise bigger. At the time we didnt know he had 55 and would flop a 5 to beat us. In general a raise to 300ish is going to be more profitable in the long run. Or take my 2nd line and reraise huge making it look like we are one of those "First hand donks" and then shove the flop. |

Re: First hand in a tourney I get AA
Make it 250-300 preflop. On the flop you autocall. You could be up against a set or a straight, but more then likely your up against a smaller over pair and a draw. Get it in, more times then not you're ahead in these spots in small buy in mtts.

Re: First hand in a tourney I get AA
Thanks for the flashback...this exact hand
happened to me at the big Central Mass 2p2 game. Well, except I sized my bet properly and got the hand HU...bet 2/3 pot got RR AI, threw my AA at the player while he proudly showed his soooooted connector. Good thing I attend those to help my skill level -ZEN |
