you should be betting this flop, i like a check more if you have the ace of clubs, but then you would probably argue for betting there, you really cant let a lone club draw for free hence you must bet the flop or the turn, when you call the river it must be expecting to lose

Bet flop. Bet turn. Call river, though not quite sure what to do if he went c/c, c/c, check. Regardless, hand plays way different if you (properly) bet/bet.
