Room service - no tip?
I've always tipped whenever I got room service. At the hotel I'm at, the menu's fine print says "A $3.75 delivery and 15% Service charge will be added to your bill."
I'm cool with paying the jacked up price for the uber convenience of having food delivered to my door, eating in my boxers, and having someone else pick up my dishes. I'm also cool with tipping the delivery person. But it looks like they're already taking an extra $10 for delivery/service, so do you still tip? Also I searched for "-re: +room +service" so try to not be retarded with a "zomg another tipping thread!!" response. |

Re: Room service - no tip?
No. But i don't tip nearly as much as some of the people on this board.

If a tip is included, I don't tip on top of that. Can't imagine why I would.

Re: Room service - no tip?
Well, remember uncle sam takes his cut so you might want to just double the whole thing (food + service charges) as an additional tip.

Re: Room service - no tip?
Why do you feel obligated to 'tip' if the fine print clearly states that tips are already included?

Re: Room service - no tip?
Depends on how much that net amount is... if I'm getting a ton of food for me and my girl and I might feel obligated to leave an extra $10 or so, but if it's something simple and the 15% equals something like $8 then i'm not concerned.

Re: Room service - no tip?
How many opportunities is the wait staff going to have to spit in your food if you stiff them?

Re: Room service - no tip?
it's not stiffing them if they've been tipped already.
