did you study how to take verses out of context? because you do that surprisingly well. you musta been in a coma for 22 of the 24 yrs.

also, for someone who studied the bible 6 years longer than i did... you are a [censored] moron to think that the god of the christian bible would ever discourage sincere prayer from any of his worshippers. EVER. ANYWHERE. you are flat out [censored] stupid.

also- jesus was the son of the god, it makes sense for him to need to be slightly more private. since he is after all praying to his father in heaven, right?

THERE ARE SEVERAL EXAMPLES IN THE BIBLE OF FOLLOWERS CALLING ON GOD PUBLICALLY FOR HELP AND HIM RESPONDING. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT??

do you not see that this is exactly my point? yang was not expecting any kind of acclaim from praying out loud. in fact, he probably knew people were going to give him a hard time about it. so what reward was he seeking? what acclaim was he trying to get by praying out loud? that fact that no acclaim existed to be garnered proves that the need to pray in private to avoid human praise for praying was unneccesary. do you see why this verse doesn't apply now? its talking about a completely different situation.

you're wrong. bottom line. im out.
