Default Linda-crossfit w.o.d.--what do you think of this one?

curious as to the reaction on here to this w.o.?

i have never done it, doing it tonight, but might scale the weight back a bit, not sure yet, see how i am feeling.

"Linda"

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps of the triplet:

Deadlift: 1 1/2 body weight
Bench press: body weight
Clean: 3/4 body weight

Set up three bars and storm through for time.

Post time to comments.

what about the strenght vs. metcon benefits?

thats a ton of volume...

i imagine that form will suffer greatly on all three lifts, but especially the clean...

is the weight a starting point and you increase or do you keep it consistent for all the reps?

The Three Bars of Death. A favorite of mine. Hmmm. Prop to think about? Linda for time? I usually end up subbing a power clean or pseudo squat clean because I don't really know how to do a proper clean and I'm not using Bumpers-- and to the extent I do have clean, it isn't there when I'm tired. I don't know what the benefit is. I do enjoy it, however.

You do it as fast as you can. So you rest as necessary between exercises-- and you rest between reps of the same exercise if you need to.

shemp, nice to know what kind of animal i am messing with [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

not sure this is one i want to prop bet with, i can answer that better tommorrow. first time through it. though i will probably drop the weight a bit so i can storm through instead of turn it into more of a strenght workout if that makes sense.

do you do alot of crossfit?

I did "Annie" today. I probably do about 1-2/week these days. I'll probably make it through all the bench mark workouts by the end of the year. I'm really not some super fit person, and I'm definitely not super strong. I've got a pretty good base in push-up and pull-up strength and I've done some (slow!) running, cycling and swimming. I do all right for my age.

we will have to compare "notes" at some point.

i think "Cindy" is my best girl. 21 rounds is my best, but i can def. improve on that i hope.

i must ask how old are you?
you can't be older than El D. can you? lol.
actually i could be older than El D., i better be careful.

Never ask a woman her age.

I might be willing to do a max rounds on Cindy prop -- just cause I like to gamble it up [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. 21 would not be good.
