10/20 Very Tough Spot w/QQ Against Pardik165
This is a 10/20 hand I played the other night. The game just got full and Pardik165 just sat down. While I've played with him before, I couldn't really remember any particulars about his play style. Since I opened in early/middle position, and we hadn't been playing back at one another or anything, I figured his out-of-position reraise range for TT+ and AK+ but maybe that's too tight?
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $20 BB (9 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver) MP3 ($1261.50) CO ($818.50) Button ($1990) SB ($987) BB ($2000) UTG ($3158) UTG+1 ($1910) MP1 ($2591) Hero ($2564) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q, Q. Flop: ($470) J, T, 8 [color=#0000FF](2 players) [color=#CC3333]BB bets $280, [color=#CC3333]Hero raises to $560, BB calls $280. Turn: ($1590) 8 [color=#0000FF](2 players) BB checks, Hero checks. River: ($1590) 7 [color=#0000FF](2 players) [color=#CC3333]BB bets $460, Hero folds. Final Pot: $1590 I minraised on the flop, because I may already have the best hand and a nine makes a straight. While I suspected I might be against a set or a bigger pair, I thought a minraise might be enough to fold out any random hands and buy me a river without allowing him to fire again and bet me off what might be (occasionally?) the best hand. Maybe just a call is best? Maybe a weak fold? Maybe raises a little bit more to protect my hand from AK? Also, what hand can he possibly have that doesn't come over the top on the flop, but is the best on the river? Thanks for your help guys. |
