Default ePassporte \'Check retruned fee\'

A few weeks ago I made a deposit from my bank to ePassporte ($500 for those scoring at home). I have made successful deposits from this acct to ePassporte before. 10 days later the $ hasn't hit my ePass account and I was charged a $10 "Check Return Fee."

I checked my bank statement and I have plenty of cash in the acct and there is no record of ePass trying to withdrawl the $500. I sent ePass an email 5 days ago and haven't heard back. I also called their phone nbr and gave up after waiting on hold for 40 mins.

Obviously the transaction was declined and I got clipped for it. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm hesitant to try it again as the "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" will come into play.
