making an instant copy of a piece of paper for 3 pence always seemed pretty cheap to me.

Coffee. Something that so many people drink on a daily basis costs a couple cents per cup when you make it at home.

It's made of beans that are produced in large quantity and aren't very perishible. They should be cheap.

I dont even know how farmers make money with eggs. Dozen eggs is like 50 cents. That's the best deal in the supermarket.

Along these lines, chicken is ridiculously cheap. $10 or so buys you enough chicken breasts to eat for two weeks or more, and it's even cheaper if you go for halves or quarters where you have to eat around some bones. Compared to beef and pork it's really a bargain.

Huh? I disagree. Whenever I buy a pack of three chicken breasts at the store, it usually runs me ~$8 and lasts me two days tops. A pack of four pork chops, however, costs half that.

[/ QUOTE ]

dont buy the boneless, skinless breasts, they are more expensive. A whole chicken is like 3.50$ though.

and I agree with water, in the lou we dont pay for water at all.

You realize the US mail is subsidized by taxes, right? That's like saying "The U.S. army is cheap. I didn't pay anything for it!"

[/ QUOTE ]

Bzzzzt, try again.

3rd paragragh from bottom

[/ QUOTE ]

That is true now, but not in the past. The infrastructure was paid for by your taxes.

Breakfast in a restaurant is way cheaper than it should be. You spend less than half what you spend for a decent dinner and get a ton of tasty food.

[/ QUOTE ]

given what eggs + bread costs, I don't think going out for breakfast is a great deal. it is great though.

$1 goes pretty far at a strip club.

Also, camping tents. I'm going camping over Memorial day and was looking online and you can get a really good 8 person tent with like $150. I know it's just fabric and zippers and cheap plastic, but still.

Tents have come way down in price. About 10 years ago I bought a tent and it was a bargain at $200.

This thread is hilarious. People saying crap like "breakfast at restaurants" and "delivery pizza" can't be serious, right?
