Default Telescope seems very buggy

I am just trying out Telescope and the following things are happening:

1. When I start a scan, it just keeps endlessly scanning and when it gets to the bottom of the lobby it keeps going back and forth between the last two tables on the lobby list but the scanning dialog box never closes and the scan never ends.

2. When I double-click on a table to open it, or use the "open" button", the table does not open, but a scan starts from where that table is in the lobby list and continues endlessly.

3. The scan dialog box never closes, even if I click the x box.

Anyone else having these problems?

Thanks.

Please retry with 1.30c:

Please make sure the lobby is sorted by tablename or stake.

Well, I downloaded the 1.30c version (I already had 1.30) and the scan window seems to close after a scan, but when I opened some tables by double-clicking it reappeared and it will not close no matter what I do.

I just started another scan and now I have two "Scan in Progress" tabs on the taskbar and two "Scan in Progress" windows open. One closed after the scan, but the other one will not and just says "Scan in Progress - Please wait...

Please try 1.30d:

The progress windows should now disappear.

Hi,
The 1.30d version seems to work better.

Can you explain how the database searching works? What exactly is it doing and how much resources will it take if I set the value very high?
Thanks

You mean the database caching (main->options->general->tablescanning)?

To boost performance Telescope saves a players statistics for a specific amount of time instead of bugging the database again and again for the same players.

During this time interval no update of a players statistics will occur.
If you always want to have up-to-date statistics you should set a low number.
If your database is pretty big and you have enough hands of every player, then you can set a high number, as it makes no difference if you have e.g. 500 or 550 hands of a player.

Scanning with the next generation of database tools like HoldemManager (http://www.holdemmanager.net/) should be pretty fast.

Regarding the database caching> does it use a lot of system resources?

Also, does adding more databases use up a lot more system resources?

Also, I may be mistaken, but the # hands filter in the bottom window does not seem to be working. I have it set to filter for players with at least 60 hands and many are showing up who have less than 60.

Thanks

Actually, I see that what you have done is to not use the color coding for those players who have less than the required amt of hands.

The database caching should not use much resources.

All added databases are treated as 1 big databases.
Adding databases will only cause longer scanning times, but not use more resources.

Yes. The colorcoding will only be enabled when you have a minimum amount of hands from a person.

You can specify the minimum amount under "Main"->"options"->"Profile".
