I am enjoying thinking about this hand because on the turn, he completely outplays you with his check-raise, and then you completely outplay him by folding. Awesome.

Anyway, I can never resist betting this turn although I am not sure it's right.

When he checks to you, I think there's some chance he was trying to take you off QQ/KK with his flop c/r and has now decided to show down his QJ or 99 or whatever, so a bet is not too bad. When he c/rs everything changes: looks like he's putting you on an ace and he can beat it.

looks like he could have A8, which you have some outs against.

Just check the turn, and call the river.

What's the point of betting the turn? You are just going to get c/r alot

I agree. Not being results oriented either, this is just a dangerous spot.

I only bet the nuts when someone checkraises flop and checks turn after getting called on flop. Why would they check if they don't intend to c/r? How often do you see any c/f or c/c after c/r:ing flop?

This is an important idea. Villain is very often c/r'ing here and if he's smart enough he realizes how often we're folding.

I can count on one hand the amount of people I have seen who run this bluff... (including myslelf)

I don't reccomend the line btw.

When you b/c that turn you feel like you are getting owned, beacue you are. Hewever sometimes they wind up with a worse A or a crappy 2P, so yeah as played I call down.
