I just thought of something else that I'd like to get out of this arrangement. Obviously it's too late to add to my original post so I'll put it here.

I want to come away with the tools and knowledge to allow me to properly learn the game. Up until now it has mostly been by trial and error, the occasional 2+2 advice, and books that I've been able to advance in NL holdem. I don't feel that micro NL can really help my game as most of the players there are newer than myself and threads die too quickly before the wheat can be seperated from the chaff. I don't feel that SSNL can help me at 50nl because their advice is geared towards a more aggressive and tighter game where they have FE that is nonexistent at 50nl. If I am chosen hopefully I will be able to walk away from the situation with everything I need to pore over my own game to find and patch my leaks.

Thanks for taking the time to read all of these Pasterbator, I really appreciate that you're taking this initiative and offering us these opportunities.

- Age: 20

- Experience: 2 years.

LONG STORY:

I started playing in highschool when I was trying to find ways to make money to fuel my expensive taste. My parents also didnt support me very well, so a regular job wouldn't cut it.

I started on poker room playing .25/.50 limit and moved along to 1/2 where I ended up going broke with the little money I had. Whenever I do something new I usually learn it quickly and really try to get good, so ofcourse I searched for answers. I bought SSLHE. The best part of that book was finding the twoplustwo address on the back cover I believe. Finished it. Became obssessed w/ 2+2. Started playing sng's and making some money here and there (not enough 1 tabling though).

That summer I got a job and worked my ass off. Bought a new computer and got back in the game. Moved to Stars $16's. My first month I only 4-tabled so I didnt make much and after a few bills I was left with $700 to my name.

For the next 3 months everything I made I cashed out to pay for expenses and in December I had a 20 buyin downswing along w/ no cashes in multi's = going back to work. It sucked.

Worked full time, got back in the game.

I know b33nz personally and he helped me out a lot (I feel I leaned on him for a lot of the things I know). Started 12 tabling the 27's. B33nz told me I should quit my job becuase I was making better money playing poker. I was determined to not go broke again and explained to him that my roll/savings isnt big enough and that Im not a luckbox. I was half convinced so I went part time. Played some 60's made a bit. And again, in December I ran really bad, this time almost ~45ish buyin downswing at 27's (excluding money lost in the short term at 60's and 35's). Im borderline going back to work full time. B33nz and I have figured it out. Im the next FJ .

SHORT STORY:

Limit > NL25 > SnG's (up to 60's) > I think Im done with SnG's, have to learn cash.

At this point, almost having gone broke twice, I have come too far, and worked too hard to quit. I also have no reason to. I know I can beat the game and I feel that I played better than I ever had last month, even with my sick loss'. I had a [censored] run like a few others after party left us, and I had a bit of a risky roll, so what (other than running really bad), I still have bigger balls for this game than most do. So these bitches can send it bring it ship it, cuz Im coming back!

- Most tables you can see yourself playing: I 12 tabled sng's and see myself playing only 5-6 tables MAX of cash. I want to actually take every little detail in, and play my BEST game.

- Current bankroll: $1000 After this months bills.

- What you expect to get out of this arrangement: I expect and WILL become a great cash game player. 3/6NL by the end of this year (this is my goal, regardless if Im picked or not).

This would help me so much. B33nz told me he'd stake me for 100NL, but I said I wouldn't take it unless I get like 30k hands at 50NL. So being coached would be extremely comforting.

Hi my name is Pete,

Age: 24

Experience at all forms of poker:

For the tl;dr crowd:
I started playing limit, up to 5/10, I have played SNGs up to $55, have had a couple MTT cashes, and have just recently started focusing my efforts to NLCASH.

LONG VERSION:
I like most started around the Moneymaker era, I watched ESPN one day saw pokerstars.com and immediately logged on. I deposited $50.00 and within 10minutes of cash games ($1/$2NL), I had doubled up. I immediately called all my friends to tell them about this cool poker game and how it was going to be my new job.

Eventually, I lost my initial stake and a couple more, and a couple more, and more and then just stuck to home games. By this point we just used to play cash games but we where so clueless. My friend was secretly reading HEFAP which I saw hidden under some newspapers in his room. I of course made fun of him for trying to hide the fact that he was “studying” poker, but at the same time I was intrigued. I too started buying books and I started playing LHE. I also started visiting 2p2. Within 4 or 5 months I had built a roll for $5/$10 but ego would not let me stay there. Poor bankroll management and playing in games WAY OVER MY HEAD, made me go bust quickly.

I then tried my hand at SNGS; I don’t know why I just did. I found them to be fun and exciting, but then again considering I was a LIMIT player, everything seems fun and exciting after that. I was beating the Party $11 for a 25% or so ROI and I was doing quite well in the PS ones as well. But yet again ego, poor BM would lead me to busto-land yet again.

I like donkaments and I have had some success with those. I think one week I took 2nd in a LHE donakment 3 times.

As far as NO-Limit Cash Goes I have played about 10k hands at $25NL and some shots at $50nl and $100nl.

Most tables you can see yourself playing: I have 9 tabled the $25NL Full Ring without problems, 6 tables for 6 max

Current bankroll: About $600 online at this time

What you expect to get out of this arrangement: I hope that with this arrangement I can hopefully take my game to the next level. I think that I have the mindset and the technical know how to beat SSNL. I am currently on a “training” regiment of playing 1k hands (usually 2-4 hours depending on how many tables I have going) reviewing the session, and I also watch 1 Cardrunners video a night and I am trying to get through NLHTP. Poker and studying is my only obligation for the next couple of months so I have tremendous amounts of time to work on improving my game. My ultimate goal would be to reach $400NL by the end of the year. I think with my abilities and a good coach I can make it far.

Credibility:Unfortunately I have never met anyone on here off the site that would vouch for me. I had another account here before this one. You can verify my SNG and Donkament results if you would like, my PS SN is Pistol78. Also I am including my NL PT screen shot since 1/1/07 just to show that I am committed to playing NL Cash, and I intend to take this as seriously as a student as you would as a teacher.

Thanks for reading,
Pete

AGE: 38

EXPERIENCE: Serious for 3 years.

STTs: After my first 1,000 $11 SnGs I had a 19% roi.
I moved through the $22s w/ a > 10% roi, finally
moving up to the $33s when the Party Crashed.

Been at Stars for 700+ tournies w/ an 11% roi
between $16-$60s. Trying to move up to the $60s solely.

MTTs: My first big accomplishment was a win in a $5 tourney for $1,600

Came in 27th in the Paradise Million for $4,000+

CASH: On-line I haven't played as much as I'd like, up until now I concentrated mostly on tournies.

OTHER: I love to play low buy-in 08 and Horse events.

TABLE EXPECTANCY: I can 6 table STTs comfortably, although if I'm not running well my comfort zone is 4. I do have a two table monitor set-up (picture upon request)

CURRENT BANK ROLL Stars $2,000+ Neteller $10,000+

BENEFITS OF THIS PROGRAM I want to learn all forms of poker. I've been seriously thinking about making the natural progression to cash games and this seems like the perfect time.

COMMENTS: I'm guessing my age isn't ideal for your program but I've been on 2+2 since '04. You're guaranteed dedication, reliability and a strong work ethic. I don't have any pre-conceived notions for NL Cash, so you're working w/ a clean slate.

If I don't make the final cut, and the dust settles from your offer, I'd like to have further conversations w/ you about coaching. I'm really serious and want to pursue this whether or not I'm selected.

Thank you

Kev

- Age: 25

- Experience at all forms of poker: Really just STTs and MTTs, playing $16s / $27. Mainly on Stars (7800 games logged on sharkscope) before that I was on both Party and Betfred

- Most tables you can see yourself playing: Currently 18 tabling STTs, so I'd guess once I know what I'm doing with cash, maybe 12

- Current bankroll: $3.6K

- What you expect to get out of this arrangement:
I've currently moved to playing full time (my job was contract based and the contract ran out so I thought I'd give online poker a go) I'm very interested in learning and developing my skills so I can manage to keep poker as my job for the next 5+ years. This is obviously going to need cash games involved at some point.

I guess one of my selling points would be the table-hours that I'd be able to commit to this.

Thanks for taking the time to read my application.

Adam

Interests: Law School, Milf and teen Porn with an occasional red head facination,

Skills: Moving Up when tilting, being a professional poker player who hates his job as much as a mortgage headset phone jock, Going Busto, robusto. Making enough money to be able to take long breaks when I want too and not feeling guilty to have earned a break. Sweeping the Leg.

Dislikes: Suzzer on freakishly small horses, wiggs wrestling avatar, Citanul being nice, Tigerite berating abcence, no spell check when posting, posting in general (why do I have to type it out, too much work), No limit hold'em deep stack cash
