That screams set to me. I would think that he would 3 bet AK or AQ pf and isnt calling a pf raise w A8s. Those are the hands that u beat. You dont beat 88 or 33 or JJ.
I fold when I have time to think about it. In the heat of the moment and multi-tabling, i probably hit the AI button and pound the table when he shows me his set!

I would probably push but from afar and not in the heat of the moment I could find a fold against a nit who won't push worse.

There are plenty of players who cold call pf and then peel with AQ / AK in position on this flop, but the turn raise says set.
Fold unless you've actually seen villain take this line before with AK or unless you feel the info is worth a BI.

Check turn IMO. This guy has a set or a floating hand. There's no value in betting.
