I'm betting 1/2 pot on the turn here. As played, fold river. You bet 160 into a 190 pot and got called. The only hands I think you're beating here are A5, 66, 77, which he'd probably check behind since he's certainly not getting value out of hands that are losing to it and not pushing off any ten or two-pair. AT is too likely (calls flop with 2 overs + gutshot).

No, I don't think that it's wrong to fold preflop, but you are getting implied odds to hit a set here so I don't think its wrong either way.

I bet just over 1/2 pot on turn also, but as played I probably call the river bet. Do you think he floated you on the turn with 2 overs like a10 or k10? The only hand I think he bets with there that he's beating you with is a turned set.

I like the fold PF. Fold this medium PP early and get away of hard decisions with no reads.

And I dont like to play this kind of hand only for set value... Is this a -EV play?

i did in fact call and was shown Qh9h. which i knew was a possibility. but i checked the turn knowing that if he checked behind i would call a small bet on the river. is this generally an ok line here?

Bet the turn. You rarely get shoved on if you do, I dunno probably close your eyes and call. As played call river you don't need to be ahead very often.
