All the pay-outs in roulette would be fair if there was no green (0). So, if you bet on red, since "half" the numbers are red, they give you 2x your bet if you win. (1x profit).

If you bet on a number, since that's "1/36" of the wheel, you get 36x (35x profit). You can do the same for all the columns and pairs and all that stuff.

American roulette is with 0 and 00 - the house edge is 5.26% (or you would lose 5.26 out of every 100 Euro you bet.

European roulette, with just the 0, has an edge of 2.7%.

We have some incorrect information here.

In Europe, "American Roulette" does not designate the presence of "00", but a set-up where each player receives his/hers chips in one color/denomination, where the croupiers gather chips with their hands and not with the rateau, and where bet's can be made on the "race-track".

In the European version of "American Roulette" the order of the numbers on the caroussel is the same as in the French version (different from US/American Roulette).

Add'l, the odds are not 2.7% in favor of the bank on all bets ... "even" bets on Red or Black have better odds in most/many European Casinos, since the bet is put "En Prison" when zero comes out and released on the consecutive spin in the right color shows up.
