Default Nintendo Power

Where to even begin.....

you know what, I won't. Words cannot do justice to the awesomeness that this magazine was.

The best thing? Anyone remember when Nintendo Power *gave away* Dragon Warrior to it's subscribers? Uh, yah. I rest my case.

Totally awesome. It was a huge treat when the monthly (or was it quarterly?) issue would arrive.

When I got a Wii, I got the five free issues or whatever. I've received one so far. It was pretty neat to leaf through it quickly, but of course the experience was no where near as magical as it used to be. I wonder if kids these days would appreciate it as much, or whether the internet has filled a lot of the role that Nintendo Power used to play.

The mag has been pretty bad post SNES days. I can always go back to those older days and read thru a whole issue tho. Thankfully my brother in law has like 100 of them from the early days, so whenever i visit i can pick one up and skim it.

WORD

I remember reading the walkthroughs for SMB2. About as close as I got to a pre-pubescent orgasm.

I can actually say my brother and I both had a subscription for 4 years each from the very first issue. God I wish I held onto some of those.

Nintendo Power is how I got Dragon Warrior.

I remember loving Dragon Warrior and so thinking they were over-hyping Final Fantasy... heh
