also we know villain posts here a lot so it might be valuable if he chimes in

i was just made privy to that information and probably changes things a bit.

if the hand was HU id say def call, what worries me is it just seems a bit reckless to be bluffing JT/QJ into two other people on the turn, which is what we are counting on if we call river

FWIW, I thought villan might be capable of turning a pocket pair into a bluff here, based on my line.

If villan did shove with total air, I think it's sick as hell.

Edit: I didn't know who villan was when we played this hand. Also, I don't know if his screen name is public, so I won't out it.

betting to "find out where u stand" is [censored] since the only way u will find out is when u either miss value or he bluffraises u. its just another one of those countless spots where people choose to take an easily played line and not the most profitable one. just because he can put u in an awkward spot on the river doesnt mean u should pssy out like that. sometimes u just have to grit ur teeth and call.

those saying the river is a definite fold, are u saying that the correct folding frequency, game theoretically speaking, is 100%? seriously, this is so exploitable. its an excellent spot for him to push around someone he perceives to be a weak regular when a scare card falls. u HAVE TO call atleast sometimes here, and i MUCH prefer 100% to 0%.

The problem with this is that we're rarely put in this situation and much more rarely put in this situation with a specific opponent. Even with game theory mentality, if we say call 25% of the time (which imo, is pretty huge), it's a fold because we should be folding more than we're calling and we're in this situation with this opponent almost never. If this was HU, it's a different story, but not here.

Thanks, though apparently half the forum knows (no big deal). I don't remember exactly what I had, but I doubt I was bluffing here, since after you chk-call the turn, I put you on AK/KQ/KJs, with KQ being most likely. Maybe an outside chance you have QQ-TT, depending on what I thought of you (no clue since idk who you are). I wouldn't try to move you off of top pair, probably. Thus, I likely had a big hand that I smoothcalled with pre. That would be an unusual way for me to play, but I think I had my reasons. PM me your name if you want to know exactly what I had
