In this case, do you always call the checkraise or do you even consider doing something other than that? Obviously I can't put this opponent on a hand I don't beat. With AK, he would raise preflop, maybe a set of 7 but it is unlikely because I have one. And he is a donk. |

Re: A7 flopped two pair 25NL
Lots of guys at full ring will limp/call with AQ/AJ/AT.
I'd limp on my button and look to play a very small pot with position. I'd also be happy to dump TP7K pretty quick if the pot gets to medium-size. This isn't six-max, after all. Oh, and as played, you can fold to the $1/c then c/r line. He most likely has a set. Edit: I suppose if he's tricky, then he might have JsTs or QsJs, but that would be a stretch. |

Re: A7 flopped two pair 25NL
I should fold this preflop, I know. I didn't know this guy was such a donk until I saw this hand so I thought he might have a pocket pair and that I would be able to steal it if not preflop, postflop. And you would really fold to his checkraise? It seems a little nitty. After all, he might have A5s. It seems like a A5 or a set.

Re: A7 flopped two pair 25NL
I wouldn't play this hand PF unless I'm in the blinds and get a free card.
However, you can't fold this in low levels. I suspect a weak A, a K (maybe even a K5) a small pocket pair or any other 2 cards much more often then a set or a slow played AK. Sure, I lost my stack to AK or A's played slowly a couple of times, but I took villain stacks much more often when they do the same move with crap. |

Re: A7 flopped two pair 25NL
Villains play does seem a little odd.
I think I'm going to call here if he is a genuinely weak player. 77 is possible I suppose but I can't see much else. A5 diamonds? ? AA/KK? Calling out of curiosity is usually a bad thing but since this is a weak player I'm going to call. EP |
