Buying TV\'s in Bulk?
A buddy of mines mom owns a small bar. They are relocating to a larger location and want to buy some new TVs. I think he said about 8 regular flat screen TVs (tubes) and a couple larger LCD TVs.
Do you think he should try to buy them online and getting a deal from a website? Don't you think he could also go into Best Buy and tell them he would like a deal buying that many TVs at once? I told him to find a model he wants, look it up on Price Grabber, and then email every store that carries it and tell them what he wants to do and see what they say. Any other advice? I figured someone on here would have some insight. |

Re: Buying TV\'s in Bulk?
I'd go to a local chain and talk to someone high up. Just tell them straight up you're buying a dozen TVs from whomever can give the best price. Find out what he can get them for shipped on the internet before going on. Talk to AT LEAST 3-4 local places before settling.

Re: Buying TV\'s in Bulk?
Online bar none is going to be cheaper. Maybe Best Buy will give you a better deal but they are cheap online.
I got a 61 inch DLP recently. The costs with shipping and without Tax (bought from NYC) was 2549 at an online store. If I bought it from best buy right now it'd be 2999.99 without tax or shipping (not sure if they charge) but that'd be 3246 here (Memphis, sales tax is 8.25%) which is a difference of 700 bucks. So online can be much cheaper. For online retailers I'd used pricegrabber.com or search on cnet.com |
