Your turn fold is good. Without reads and at this limit, when someone check-raises 2 people like that, you are almost always behind and drawing very slim or dead on this board. At higher limits or if BB is a top-notch exceptional player, he may make this move if he thinks you are capable of folding and him isolating the SB if he thinks SB is a fish w/ many holdings. I doubt a player of this level will be playing 2/4. You played well.

But if i thought maybe there was some possibility he had an 8 or a 9 or some other pocket pair would a call down be ok? Im not used to folding top pair like this.

Dont fold this turn ever. He will show you TP, corrupted two pair, and a million other hands that you beat that calling down is correct.

With no reads whatsoever you have to call down here.

Bad fold. It could easily be 98 or a bunch of other worse hands.

Seems instantly like a loose table, has anyone considered waiting until the turn to bet on a favorable card? The flop looks draw heavy and your opponents are certainly correct to call with a variety of hands on the flop.
Certainly a problem with this line is what to do if the button bets flop which is easily possible mucking up plans to charge a higher price for draws on the turn.
Even with those considerations, I opt for aggression as you played it up to the turn where I'd call down as the others suggested because of no reads.

Yuck. Even though BB's c/r seems more like the "I want all your money" type, calling down is good. You will see a TP hand/semi-bluff often enough.
