After 1466 innings the Wildcard team is not determined, but 1465 may be enough to determine the true better team.

WHAT THE F how come nobody likened Tulowitzki to Jeter after that play!?

Oh yeah, this is TBS, not Fox or ESPN.

yay Fogg gone.

Iggy,

The announcers have said its really loud. Downtown is crazy. I can't explain why it sounds so quiet on tv.

I can explain this.
Micropohnes are really good.
If it's really loud there but they only turn on the announcers mic then that is pretty much all you are going to hear.

Even if the crowd is quiet, if you put mics in the right places and adjust them properly you can make it sound loud and crazy.

TBS seems to like to tone-down the crowd-noise and excitement on their broadcasts for some reason.
IMO they do a particularly bad job.

Compare with the MNF game in Cincy taking place right now. It's not like those fans are THAT much more insanely louder than the fans in Colorado at the baseball game. But ESPN does an excellent job of juicing up that crowd-noise to truly capture some of bone-chilling noise that the crowds are giving.

ABC is really good at this too imo. College football in particular where they have those mics jammed right into the bands so you are hearing them all broadcast long and feel like you're practically at the college-football atmosphere.

FOX does it a bit differently. I kind of like the way they do it too but they really focus on the noise ON the field and less so in the crowd. Notice how they juice up that mic every time the ball pops into the catcher's glove or every time there is a play at first just as the runner's foot is about to hit the bag.

Anyway, the point is....TBS is doing nothing to bring the crowd-noise into the broadcast and it's really disappointing. Although the last few innings they have nudged up the volume just a little more than they had at the beginning.
