Default Spring Break - Where to go?

Here's my situation:

Have a steady, long term GF and since ill be graduating in the Spring and she has a year left she wants to spend Spring Break together. There will very likely be other people on the trip as well, both her friends and my own.

Here's what I'm looking for:

The past two years I have gone to Valencia, Spain and Vegas. This time I am looking for something more tropical and beachy. A lot of drinking and general carefree hanging out will be expected. Anything in Europe is out because we are going there together this summer for a week or two. Money isn't much of an object but I don't want to pay to spend a week like a king either.

Thoughts and ideas?

Is your girlfriend 21? Are you ruling out any spot in the US?

She's not 21 but she has a good fake.

Not ruling out anywhere in the US, though I don't know how much of a case can be made for places like Daytona, etc.

What the hell? Cancun easily wins here. I'll either be there or Rio this year. But I can go to Rio anytime, so I'll be in Cancun.

Edit: If your girlfriend has hot friends, let me know.

Rio would be pretty sick. The problem is that I don't know how many of our friends would be willing to pay the airfare to go there. Still, I'm gonna run it by her today to see what she thinks.

The potential downside to Rio is that I'm not sure it is a big spring break destination if that is what you are going for. I don't know for sure one way or the other (so look it up), but I'd tend to think it isn't.

Cancun on the other hand is THE spring break destination.
