horrible call. Way way too many hands have you beat.

I mean even the flush got there on the river..

Maybe I am naive but your preflop hand isnt very good to begin with. Naked qq/kk, or wrap must be your read on the flop, but if you think you are ahead, why not raise his turn bet and see if you can fake trips or boat? My guess is the person had a busted wrap and tried to value bet the river as a bluff.

i had the guy on high pair or busted wrap, i didnt raise the turn because i figure if im ahead now and my read is right he'll take another stab at it on the river and i can get paid, i havent met a single person who would have made that call, so im not sure whether it was right now....
i have made a lot of similiar calls and they were also right, but now im not so sure if i should have

If you really think the turn bet's weak and that he likely has a diamond draw or a wrap, I think your best play is to raise. You can easily get him off of a 17 out draw at this point since he'll give you credit for a boat, and you can also get him off of a split if he's got an AK in his hand. There's nothing wrong with going with your read, but the turn has to be raise or fold IMO.

you holding a an ace in your hand makes it difficult for him to hold a full house, raise the turn enough so that you can put him allin on the river. This should make him fold any draw or AK for split and possibly any ten if he is a weakish player. If he calls the turn i play the river by feel.

Terrible call. You played this hand too weak, and let him control all of the action. I like the turn raise, at least here you get to see where you stand. The way you played it, you cannot just call the river.

Well, it depends on the player. Against most players, I'd just fold the flop. If I was up against an aggressive C-bettor, I'd call the flop mostly with the intention of taking it away if he checks the turn, and usually folding to a turn bet if I don't improve to two pair.

The only time I'd raise the turn is if I knew from past play with this player that he'd pot the turn if he made good trips or a boat and tended to bet less with his weaker hands. Then, taking the half-pot bet as weakness, I'd make it $135 or so to move him off his draw. If you don't have some kind of specific read, you really need to fold the turn here.
