Default Discussing a hand while its in play.

How do you guys feel about players making comments about a hand in the chat box during the hand?

This situation popped up recently while I was in a hand & one of the "chatty" players at the table started making comments about my hand in the chat box. After I raked the pot, I basically told him in a nice way to STFU...Of course, he & the other player in the pot both lit in on me about how I needed to get a grip, loosen up, & how everybody knew what I had anyway, etc...

I also play alot live & every cardroom I've ever been in, it WILL NOT be tolerated.

Do you guys think I was being too harsh? It did kinda piss me off!!!

If you wanted to, I'd imagine you could get the guy's chat disabled by the poker site. I'd hope that this is a violation of the chat rules.

Ya it's pretty unacceptable, especially if it's habitual and even more so if he's not involved with the hand. I'd probably report it if he did it more than a couple times.

One of the most fundamental rules of public poker is that only one player may play a hand. You have every right to tell the guy to shut up already, and you would be well within your rights to report the incident to the site in question.

If this had been a live game, I would have just reached across the table & b**ch slapped him.

That's a good way to get barred from that room.

I think trying to explain it in a civil way is the best course of action.
