Probably because it's free, and if you had to buy a big bottle of it for your home you'd get sick of it quickly.

I always thought tomato juice was disgusting just based on the concept and smell. Then I tried it and it and liked it. Now I love Bloody Marys and like tomato juice too. I haven't tried it, but I think the Spicy Hot V8 would make a great Bloody Mary.

/edit I also drank it for the first time on an airplane. Flights are pretty much the only time I ever drink plain tomato juice, otherwise it is a Bloody Mary or V8.

tomato juice is good, but bloody mary mix (tomato juice + hot sauce, no?) is much better.

I like v8 tomato juice v cold/chilled. Like with ice cubes. But I mean I'm not in love with the stuff...other tomato based foods/condiments I like much better as well.

I don't care much for tomato juice, but my dad drinks beer mixed with tomato juice and topped with black pepper. Tastes pretty good.
