obv, readless this is a fold 100% of the time. AK might be a fold readless if somehow you got here this way.

I would bet the turn, and, as played, fold the river.

But then I'd say you won the hand imo

fwiw, this is exactly how I'd play AJ from SB - try to check-raise a couple of streets, and then shove when the board double-pairs hoping to get called by a lone Ace.

One of those "an Ace will call a shove, a non-Ace won't call anything, so shoving (and hoping he has a lone Ace) is better." situations.

Well it's 50/50, you either win or lose.

But you risk 200 to win what was a pot of 24. I dont think its worth it.

But youre defending your play so I think you won the hand.

No, i didn't win. I posted because i thought at least some people would say call because your hand is underrepped, which is why i called, but apparently not. The below is i think dead on.

When i was playing the hand, i didn't realise how the river 4 changes his range. He can't push JJ, but he can push any A. Any A probably has to call, which is why him pushing with AJ here was so perfect.

Honestly though i just thought he was another retard who overbet bluffed. Guess he showed me!

[/ QUOTE ] You do realize the pot isn't $24 anymore, right?
