Dealing with a maniac (10NL)
Ok, there is a maniac at your table, the kind who raises every hand, bets big at any opportunity he can and sucks out everytime. The kind of opponent we love to see, heh.
I sit down because I see him playing this way... 3rd hand after I sit down he does this (which makes me so happy): PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed) converter CO ($9.45) Button ($7.40) SB ($8.50) Hero ($10) UTG ($5.50) UTG+1 ($10) MP1 ($30.25) MP2 ($4.90) Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG+1 posts a blind of $0.10. 1 fold, UTG+1 (poster) checks, MP1 calls $0.10, MP2 raises to $0.5, 4 folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 raises to $5.7, MP2 calls $4.40 (All-In). Flop: ($10.85) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Turn: ($10.85) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) River: ($10.85) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: $10.85 Results in white below: MP1 has 6d Jh (straight, ace high). MP2 has Kc Ad (full house, aces full of kings). Outcome: MP2 wins $10.05. MP1 wins $0.79. Next hand, this comes up: PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed) converter UTG+1 ($9.45) MP1 ($7.40) MP2 ($2.80) Hero ($10) Button ($5.45) SB ($9.70) BB ($26) UTG ($9.35) Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls $0.10, 3 folds, Hero raises to $0.5, 2 folds, BB raises to $10.1, UTG folds, Hero calls $9.50 (All-In). Flop: ($20.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Turn: ($20.25) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) River: ($20.25) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: $20.25 I doublechecked the HH from the previous to verify he had gone all-in with the J-6 and then I called. Smart, dumb, standard? Just want to make sure my decision was correct. -Gross |

Re: Dealing with a maniac (10NL)
Ive lost 5 hands like that in a row not long ago against one player. One was 46-54, the other 4 between 75-25 and 68-32.
try to beat that. |
