[ QUOTE ]
In the interview, it was stated that he dropped out of school in the 7th grade. Then, he apparently was in some trouble and spent time in jail. Then, he discovered poker, and cleaned up his act, so to speak.

Well, if that is true, then it makes sense that he is not well educated. And, just b/c he isn't, doesn't make him an idiot (just maybe not a good interviewee).

Obviously, the interview was comical from a poker content perspective. I mean, he is not good at articulating how he plays and whatnot. But, he obviously must play good. And, maybe, in some weird way, he can see things in poker that educated people cannot. I mean, this kid has a whole other realm of life experiences that none of us pretty boy college types could ever really understand.

He's sort of like that amazing guitar player you know that can't read a note of music, and has no idea about music theory, other than the names of a few basic chords. But, he can somehow rip out any type of music better than anyone you've seen. Somehow, he just has it. And, "it" is something that the general poker population wishes they had.

It is frustrating and difficult to admit that after all of the time you have put into the game, this uneducated idiot with a grill will always be better than you.

thish is what i thought

like how good musicians are blind

heres my opinions
1. he is good at mtts, his results show that
2. he is a moran and looks like a fool. lol hes retarded. if i was ever at a table with him i would talk smart just to confuse him. "hey lilh, how are you?" "umm. wut.. uh... you mean.. how am.. wait what? i dont know what you mean"
3. he may or may not be a nice guy, i dont care.

Here are some things most should agree on:

1) Everyone whos met him irl thinks hes a nice guy, so hes most likely a nice guy.
2) He is very good at tournaments
3) He has some leaks
4) He has probably needed to run very very well to do some of the things hes done, but its near impossible to do the things hes done w/o running very well, so who cares?

kid ran like god in the wsop circuit event at caesers indiana that he won. easy to amass chips when sticking it in with no folding equity and 3 outs, or calling off with 3 outs and getting there every time. i was not impressed, but still considered him def +ev in that tourney.

that said, he went on to roll over the final table as everyone was way too tight (also helped never running into a hand, and winnings flips). they also adjusted poorly.

anyone who thinks he hasn't ran a couple sigmas in the positive is as stupid as anyone who says he is stone cold awful.

and sure, i may think he looks like a clown, but who cares if he is a decent guy. if there was confirmation that he was a huge life-douche then i can understand the hate, but [censored] it who cares, roll on lil holdem
