Default 5/10 no Limit Foxwoods

Headed there Columbus day with a few friends. Is the max buy in $2,000 for this game?

Would the quality of players be similar to a 2/4 game online?

I play 2/4 online and have only played 1/2 and 2/5 at Foxwoods. The players in these games at Foxwoods are pretty awful. I am just a little worried about going down there to "take a shot" at 5/10 and losing 6 grand.

Thanks in advance for advice anyone can give.

Matt

Max buy-in is 2k.

Can't comment on the quality of play at 5/10, but realistically you shouldn't take a shot if you can't afford losing a few buy ins due to variance.

This game is very trappy and tricky. Much better quality of play than 2/5. When the limits changed a lot of the 10-25 players dropped down.

This game is a lot of fun, challenging and can be a real test of your nerves. If you can afford it, I would recommend giving it a try.

No one says you have to buy in for the max buy-in - if you only have 6k, maybe it might be better to buy in for 1k a clip.

i've played in about 7 times with the 2k max buy-in, always buying in for 1k. the way the tables were i never felt cramped only having 100bb. theres less 3 betting preflop vs 2/4 online and more stations.

bring 4k and clean up

I thought that the 5-10 had more action than the rocky 2-5. This was a weekday though.

try not to play this game during the weekdays. most 10-25 regulars play 5-10 during the weekdays. it can get frustrating with the lack of action.

If you start winning a little in 5/10 you will be playing deep stack poker, which is quite a bit different from 100xBB online. But the good thing is that players in this game make huge mistakes, so just be smart and careful, and don't play scared, and you will make lots of money.
