What worries you about one of your CFB bets this week?
Play Devil's Advocate on your own bet, not someone else's, something you actually have action on. Example:
PSU first half rushing v FIU: 16 carries, 35 yards. Ugly. Yeah, they could still throw for 5 TDs on ND's defense...but maybe not. Morelli's no Colt Brennan, after all. That kind of rushing lack-of-attack could keep it under 2 TDs, esp if Clausen gains confidence and gets the meaningless back-door cover in final mins v 2nd team D. |

Re: What worries you about one of your CFB bets this week?
MSU running for over 300 yards v Bowling Green
Matt Stafford throwing 3 picks and the Bulldogs failing to establish a rushing attack Illinois committing 5 turnovers and giving up 6 30+ yard plays Purdue's defense not showing up at all Auburn's defense scoring 2 TDs themselves Louisville scoring 80 the first half...I kid, kinda Oregon's defense being worse than Michigan's Oregon St struggling to establish the run just like Rutgers @ cincy last year defensive touchdowns and short fields in Miami/Oklahoma |

Re: What worries you MOST about one of your CFB bets this week?
To be clear, let's pick one - what worries you MOST, and feel free to go into detail. LVille's WR speed? Oregon's lack of DBs?

Re: What worries you MOST about one of your CFB bets this week?
bah....
Michigan State bulldozed UAB last week as D'Antonio brought back the old Spartans attack I remember them having for the better part of my lifetime. Line up the big boys and just pound the opposition. Bowling Green struggled (blew a 21 point lead) when Minnesota switched from trying to be a spread attack to pounding at the Falcons in the second half. Though Bowling Green came out victorious in OT, the 24 second half points Minny's attack put up looked like a script that the Spartans could copy this weekend. If the Spartans put up 48, I question the Falcons ability to keep up and cover the 16-18. |

Re: What worries you about one of your CFB bets this week?
- West Virginia sleepwalking for 3 quarters against Marshall
- Hawaii doing the same thing vs. La. Tech - BG not being able to contain Mich St. on the ground. - Temple playing like Temple. - Navy putting up enough points to stick with Rutgers. - OSU proving too much for Akron's D and scoring over 40 points. - Tommy Grady having too much success against a questionable Air Force D. |

I guess I'll go with Hawaii then. Though I can't really go into much detail except for I could really see them sleepwalk through the first half or so.
My guess is that the extremely long trip from Hawaii to Ruston, LA is not a fun one. |

Re: What worries you about one of your CFB bets this week?
since I debated between 2 locks, I'll give the downside of both bets
South Carolina v Georgia--I'm on the Bulldogs South Carolina has done its best work on the road under Spurrier last year, they won @MSU, @ Kentucky, @Vandy, and @ Clemson, while losing by 1 @Florida (blocked fg at the end being the difference) The year before they lost by 2 @Georgia, lost @ Auburn, but won@ Tennessee, and won @ Arkansas SPurrier is the best coach in college football IMO, and scares the daylights out of me with the plans he can put into effect. It looks more and more like he has the thoroughbreads in the stable, but I didn't see it last week. I'm wondering if they really skimped on preparation to look forward to playing Georgia. They'll also have Blake Mitchell back who was a different guy the second half of last season. Also, Georgia's oline held up last week against an Okie St defense that is hit or miss. I want to see how they'll do against a real SEC defense. Will the freshman, Sturdivant and Davis, hold up. |

Good stuff, help you/us all focus on one game, esp for those on the fence, that kinda thing. |

Great thread idea, Naj.
Be interesting to do the same for the NFL as well. -P |
