opening pokersites disables my Internet...

I have Time Warner Cable internet and just had a tech guy out here to fix an issue I was having. My computer is now connected directly through a USB cord to the modem.

Unfortunatley, since this happened, everytime I open either Pokerstars, or PartyPoker...the internet connection stops functioning.

I have to then go into the Network Connections, and manually disable then enable the connection to get it back online.

WTF is going on here? Is this something to do with my firewall? If so, that's odd since I haven't had the problem in the past. How do I get it to stop disconnected my internet everytime I open a pokersite. Help as soon as possible please.
