Sure, there are a number of matchups which are highly unbalanced and only a few which are even, but skill difference can make up for even the worst matchups. By the time you factor in creeping, item building, item countering, skill building, harass tactics, fight skill, etc. the hero matchup is usually a small part of determining outcome. This has gotten better in recent versions, too, as more flexibility in items has been made possible, allowing more builds that can make up for the deficiencies that are being exploited in the bad matchup. Creative builds are the key to the worst matchups. Here is my top ten heros for blind pick in no order: bane (elemental), viper, enchant, sylla, veno, lucy, loa, nerub assasin, lion, rhasta. Also, lol at some of the dota strat posts in this thread!
