No. You just take one before you cash out.

I grab chips from everyplace I've played, my sister gave me the idea of making them into magnets for the fridge (see pic)

IMO collecting poker chips is not really a for-profit endeavor - I like 'em because they remind me of the specific trip or whatever

and yes that's a T5 tournament chip from Commerce, sue me

my bro got 1$ chips from all the good vegas casinos, and mounted them on this shot of vegas at night. it's actually kind of neat.

This would look great next to a painting of Elvis on velvet.

Like many of you, I like to collect a $1 chip from every casino I've gambled at. I'm afraid to see how many chips I do have! That said, collecting chips is a big business. Just browse eBay and see for yourself. I have a friend who has a passion for collecting rare, high-quality chips. Believe it or not, there actually is a price guide for them!

I only have a few, but I like my 25 cent chip from Greektown Casino. It's dayglo orange and was the last chip I had remaining the night I played there.

I snag one from each place I play, but I havent done anything with them aside from make a pile thus far. Maybe down the line i'll do something cool with them, or give them to my progeny or something.

did i read that someone snagged/stole a wsop tourney chip, and sold it? I missed that. Is it worth grabbing a 25T chip to sell from the 2007 WSOP? Was this sold on ebay?

"People collect casino chips wtf?"

I can think of at least one reason to be a collector of casino chips: MONEY

Worth slightly more than face value

One more

You can find plenty of these auctions every week apparently. I think there is a record of well above six figures being paid for an old obsolete (obv rare) chip from Vegas.
