Default The trouble with sooted connectors

Live 7.50/15. game is loose. up a lot and overconfident, I make a pretty hideous call IMO preflop UTG with 76s.

3 people join in and BB checks.

flop 742 2 suited, 1 of my suit. i bet, UTG + 2 folds, MP (straightforward player) raises, folded to me I call.

Turn 4 not of my suit, I check and fold.

Terrible?

pf limp is obviously loose, but at the right table i could see it.

check-and-see is better than betting the flop.

turn fold is fine..

I normally will fold sooted connectors if I do not flop a straight/draw or a flush/draw.

Of course if I play 89 sooted and the flop comes 998, I will play then also.

Playing looser preflop, make you become a better postflop player. Kind of..."That which does not kill us makes us stronger".

Preflop is loose, but if the game conditions are correct, it's certainly not terrible. I check this on the flop as loose players are not going anywhere with 2 or even 1 over on this non-scary board and I want to see how the action plays out. Depending on the action, I may c/r a late position bet w/ no callers from an aggressive players who bets position too much or just call and re-evaluate the turn.

given your position, check the flop.
