Default Split aces (blah)

My reason for being so aggressive is getting that stupid drawing hand out.

I wouldnt worry about getting the draw out too much. If he has trips, you need to fill to win the hand. If you fill you will beat seat 1 anyway.

Haha, you think the apparent drawing hand is folding, especially since he bet out on fourth vs someone showing an open pair. You could turn your cards over and show him rolled up aces and he's still calling you.

If the 4s have trips, you aren't getting him out and if he doesn't have trips, do you want him out?

Yes with a solid two pair you want to drive people out in stud. You don't want the 4s to see anything cheaply so a raise is the right move there. You don't want him catching trips or filling his boat.

Not really. You win more / lose less by just calling 4th.

The re-raise is fine, but once the paired door has re-raised, its time to fold. You know he has trips (or less he is a tricky player) and you really need to catch an ace. You're not in deep so get out while it is still cheap.

If the guy with 44 does not have trips, you do not want him out, do you see why? He currently has no draw, and if he makes 2 pair he still loses unless he has an A and catches the case A. His only chance to beat you is a 2 outter to trips. *let him draw at it*

But anyway, he doesn't have 1 pair, he probably has 2 pair or trips. Given 4th st action I'm guessing trips. What do you put him on when he check-3bets the 2 of you after you double-bet raise the guy wit 2 hearts? Please don't say "nothing"

5th is bad because the guy you think you're trying to knock out is between the bettor and you, and he's already called 1 bet, so he'll call one more, unless you're hoping Mr 44 will re-raise and face him with 2, in which case YOU should fold. Seriously.

I understand what you're going for, but in situations where you can not force someone to fold, it's not a good idea to endlessly throw money at the situation hoping they'll fold. The outcome will be the same. If you're a money favorite, bet and raise for value, if you're not, keep the pot small and look for an opportunity for your opponents to make a mistake.
