andathr: Yes you can do that as long as you are funny. CF: the rest of the internet.

citoneal: Why did you delete several posts in BBV4L where a fellow mod was talking about how dumb this whole thing is? First you deleted his post, then the whole string of posts? What gives?

I see, I didnt realize there was that rule about criticizing another mod's actions outside of the mod forum.

To those of you who are happy about cit becoming a mod, could you please explain why? Also, who are you and where do you usually post, I dont recognize you.

yeah, the former is something that no matter how hard you try you cannot help, and it's ultimate elimination is a noble and worthwhile goal for the world at large. the latter is a [censored] stupid thing to say, and definitely shouldn't be the source of a fight. look, if greens and reds continue to turn a blind eye towards nigga, what's the next cool thing to say? [censored]? slope? kike? it's an actual slippery slope, not the sort of red state slippery slope that goes from allowing gay marriage to allowing bestiality.

seriously, instead of responding to a crappy thread that's your standard four outer for a single buyin at 25NL by saying 'nigga plz' or 'OP should die in a fire' either actually think of something funny/witty/insightful to say for a change or just freaking ignore the thread.

ignoring lame threads: what the cool kids will be forced to do.

OSU: I dont think you get the problem. Posters saying Die in a Fire to every thread is bad, sure but can be dealt with by banning someone who does it a lot. But when you make a blanket rule about it, the first thing that will happen is an actual good poster will see the humor behind circumventing the rules and will do so. Then they need to be dealt with. The note on tone thing that gild did was fine, but he enforced it without regard to context too often, and more importantly he let the needling get under his skin and banned people for breaking his rules, rather than for being offensive.

Anyway, its funny that you are advocating ignoring things that you do not like in support for the heavy-handed cit modship.

And by funny I mean hypocritical and wrong.

I think what sealed it was the crazy anti-Semitic stuff that was popping up around here lately. The ‘nigga plz’ and ‘ghey’ stuff was used around here for ages and it never seemed to bother anyone.
