Love how half the article focuses on what number he will wear. Good to see they have their priorities straight. |

He's back Some good news for a change: Atl resigns Morten Andersen. No word yet on Prater's fate but I assume he's cut unless they keep him as a kickoff specialist. [/ QUOTE ] The miracles of Geritol & hip replacement surgery... |

Take Brohm or trade up to get him if needed. [/ QUOTE ] Trading up worked out real well for them this year! |

Draft a QB in the top 5 this year and we'll still be giving up another 5 sacks per game for the next few years.

The Chiefs made a tactical error in going for Brohm in the draft - the Falcons need to make them pay. Cue Deangelo Hall.

He sucks. [ QUOTE ] The two stars had been jawing at each other the entire game, with Hall holding the upper hand in the first half. But, on the first play from scrimmage after the Falcons' go-ahead touchdown, Delhomme went deep down the sideline for Smith. Clearly beaten, Hall had no choice except to drag down the receiver for a 37-yard interference penalty. Apparently frustrated, Hall gave Smith a shove to the upper chest on the next play, drawing a 15-yard personal foul. Then, with Carolina apparently forced into a field-goal try after Delhomme was sacked, Hall drew an unsportsmanlike penalty for continuing to jabber at Smith. That gave the Panthers an automatic first down, and they quickly punched it in for the tying TD, Delhomme's 5-yard pass to Jeff King. Hall even appeared to get into it with his own coach, Bobby Petrino, before being dragged away by a couple of teammates. [/ QUOTE ] One step closer to Brohm anyway. |

Re: ***Official 2007 Atlanta Falcons Thread***
Harrington looked excellent today with the o line pulling out the game of their lives. Run defense was unusually poor, and D Hall and his trash talking finally ended up costing us a game. I am actually much more encouraged about this team after this game than I was before. I might have to upgrade my projection from 2 wins to 3 and maybe even 4.
If Harrington keeps this up we may have to switch our priorities from QB to McFadden at RB or Long at tackle. |

Harrington is able to pull off a game here and there. He's not hopeless in the sense that he makes an average to pretty good backup, knows what he is doing to an extent and has tons of experience. But, he is what his career numbers say. No more or less. |

[censored] that. D Hall locked Smith down, had to make a PI play that saved a touchdown, and got screwed on two flags. I wish the rest of the defense played with his fire.
