3/6nl HU (250bbs). river decisions...

O hey I was the villain in this hand. I think the river decision is pretty easy against how i play in reality (as opposed to how people seem to think I play), but...

Two things:
1) I have a very low opinion of my game, especially heads-up, at the moment. In fact, I was playing this low because I feel like I really, REALLY need to improve HU and I don't want to lose 5/10+ money doing so.
2) This hand took place well before I went on monkey tilt and dropped like 8 buyins because I blow.

I don't think I've ever seen a bluff or a worse 8 here and I've played more than a 100k hands heads up and I have never folded in this spot. I have never bluffed here either or pushed with worse. Folding is really tough but should be done especially if you've stayed in line.

in an aggro HU match this is sososo much about game flow. if the game is playing fast and loose and villian almost certainly thinks OP is a huge donk, hes prob mtting, so he does this with any 8.

on the other hand alot of players wont bet the turn with an 8 for pot control, or the game could be going slow, or whatever.

situations like this come down to trusting your hand reading, applying it situationally, and knowing how your image works.

Some information that may or may not be relevant is I started off with 240$ and ran it up playing pretty aggressive game. He was playing 52/43/3.4 and I was probably playing slightly more hands and more aggressive.

i think he is way more likely to bluff given your river line than if you had led out (since you can be bluffing a lot here), but that's just instinct from having played with guys like this.
