I'd rather send down Green, Gotay, Delgado, LoDuca, and Reyes for pulling the worst defensive sequence I've seen in years.

I don't blame Lo Duca or Delgado. If Reyes just ate Lo Duca's throw it would have been 1st and 3rd 2 outs. Once Reyes lobbed the ball to Delgado the only play was to 2nd. Gotay should not have been fielding that ball, no idea where Green was on that play.

Great at bat by Lo Duca. Gotay needs to get a hit here.

Delgado was at fault on the grounder to 2nd though. I also thought he had a shot at Gwynn coming home after Jose's lob.

It all could have been solved if Green caught it.


And just as I was thinking that Franco batting there would have been better even though it was right v righty I am proved wrong. Maybe that can spark Newhan.
