Re: KJs
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Based on your estimates you put villain on 88 - 6 combos 33 - 6 combos A8 sp - 1 combo T9 s/o - 16 combos (4 suited + 12 unsuited) KQ sp - 1 combo AQ sp - 1 combo QJ - 8 combos J8 - 9 combos J3 - 9 combos [/ QUOTE ] This range is absolutely ridiculous. Where is JT etc? Where is AK? I'm almost serious about that. U can't assume all villains play logically every time, especially not when the pot is big. We have TPGK on a realtively safe board. Don't fold! [/ QUOTE ] My list was merely a representation of what OP thought villain hand range was. I agree some hands probably should be added others should be removed. Even though I never said I agreed on all the possible hands the list served two purposes: A/ That against villains likely range you are behind to most hands and that the call is close (please provide a better list of hands so that I can see what hands you put him on.) B/ Given this range the river is a safe fold |

Re: KJs
I like all of it. KJs is def. playable UTG in a reasonable game. Ater you're raised on the turn, you're basically getting 4-1, because you intend to call down, though a c/f unimproved if you have a good read on villain as a rock who would only do this with 2-pair + would also not be a horrible decision, but that situation is rare. T9 could make this play every now and again, or even a weak Jack. You're right often enough to call down, though I don't like that over-call by MP2. If he calls 2 bets cold instead of one at a time, I'd let it go.

please provide a better list of hands so that I can see what hands you put him on. [/ QUOTE ] There is no point in putting villain on a range. Villain is unknown so we have no idea how he is playing. On the river we are getting 11.5:1 pot-odds. The thing is that there is absolutely no chance that u can be over 90% (or something) that an unknown has a better hand than we do. Hand ranges simply isn't relevant in this spot. That's what I meant by the AK remark. Trying to make sophisticated reads agaisnt an unknown and fold big pots for one bet on the river with such a good hand that we have is very bad. This folds goes under the SSHE concep 'don't make big lay-downs in big pots' |
