And another ... ZeeJustin gone.

Anyone still doubt my 2 hour claim now? And even if 4 hours ... it's still a lame Day 4. Day 4 is suppose to be a star-filled dramatic finish to the final table. Not some 2-4 hour donkfest.

[/ QUOTE ]

But they're playing 5 "days", it MUST be a great structure! There MUST be so much play!

LOL.

I'm really curious to see if DN comments about the structure. He CAN'T be happy about it. 50K only to have it be a donkfest. That's why people love the main event, cause for 10K, you actually get play, pretty much all the way til the end. But for 50K, you can to flip coins.

But honestly, he was sort of freerolling after winning a $280K pot a couple days ago with only 3 outs to the river. In fact, it was so obvious that he should've folded before the river (since John Henningan folded a boat also) that he said he went on tilt after winning that pot.

And $280K was basically what he started with today. So he should've been out awhile ago pretty much. Pretty much was freerolling.

i personally think it'll take 2 hours.

and by the time it's the final table tomorrow, everybody will have like 10 times the BB.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you see how these two statements contradict each other?

[/ QUOTE ]

Call me dense but no, I don't see the contradiction. I'm saying the structure sucks and that both today and tomorrow will be short days.

BTW, another gone ... down to 18.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right now the blinds on level 46 Holdem are 13k/25k. If this ends in another hour as you predict, we'll be on about level 48, with a BB of 30k (if you want to call it a BB for the stud games). And the average stack at the FT will be about 1.85M (14.8M divided by 8), which will make it roughly 60 BBs.

Edit: of course if you mean "big bets" and not "big blinds" just divide that in half, so the average stack will have 30 big bets.

Edit: oops my numbers were off (I actually underestimated the average stack), fixed 'em.

What a dissapointing final table this would be:

Kenny Tran
Bruno Fitoussi
John Hanson
Tim Phan
Chris Reslock
Mark Gregorich
Stephen Wolff
Noah Jefferson
Patrick Pezzin

ESPN actually have to get pretty lucky to have at least three name players on the final table this year.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would be very happy if Reslock made another final table. Hes a good guy and hes a good poker player.

Hey what happened to Bonomo?

Justin Bonomo Eliminated in 18th Place
(Hold'em) Justin Bonomo is all in preflop for 67,000 against Bruno Fitoussi and Greg Raymer, who call his bet. The flop comes K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], and both players check. The turn card is the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] , Fitoussi bets 50,000, and Raymer calls. The river card is the 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Fitoussi bets 50,000, and Raymer calls. Fitoussi shows 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] for a full house, fours full of fives, and Raymer mucks. Fitoussi takes the side pot.

Bonomo shows 7-7 for two pair, but it's not good enough. Justin Bonomo is eliminated in 18th place, just two spots outside of the money.

The remaining 17 players are on the money bubble.

All you guys bitching about the structure:

(Serious question) Are the people PLAYING in this event complaining? So far I've seen that Daniel N approves of it (and I assume Howard L does as well since he made it). Allen Cunningham approves.

Is it just all the railtards who are up in arms about it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Name one person in this field that normally complains about anything.

Daniel - He helped make it, too stubborn to admit his error.

Lederer - Same problem at Daniel.

Raymer - Still in.

Does Ivey EVER publicly complain to the media? Cunningham? Chan?

Anyway, even if you re-read Daniel's blog, his argument that it's a good structure is WEAK.

[/ QUOTE ]

There were a lot of outspoken players in this field. I find it hard to believe that if the structure was so universally hated by all the players (not just the railtards) that not a single one of them would say something.

Like I said, I'm genuinely curious because I have heard players say they liked the structure.

Thanks for the clarification. Obviously, I was exaggerating when I made my statement. I didn't actually do the math but took a guestimate. But my point remains, the structure is HORRIBLE.

How could Day 4 of a 50K event only take 2 (maybe 4 hours)?? That's unacceptable if you ask me. I'm sure all players that liked the structure (BEFORE IT ACTUALLY STARTED) would agree that it was a mistake.

That's all I'm saying.

Hey didn't a similar thing happen last year to online limit specialist Matt "Hoss_TBF" Hawrilenko?

That sucks. Two years in a row a "well-known" online player bubbles the $50K HORSE.
