Default Full Tilt Pros chat

Why is it at Fulltilt the pros can say what ever they want and not get any type of chat warning? They can act like a spoiled brats and nothing happens. Shouldn't they set a standard for the other players? Here is what happen.
Quiet Lion (a pro at FT) playing at a heads up table when he lost a hand he would type in LOL just about every time.
Dealer: nicchr wins the pot ($239.50) with a pair of
Kings
Quiet Lion: lolol
Dealer: Hand #1843255071
elvis57 (Observer): you sure are not quiet, it should
be rude lion
Quiet Lion: shutn up moron
elvis57 (Observer): yes you are
Dealer: Quiet Lion wins the pot ($59.50)
Dealer: Hand #1843257146
Quiet Lion: who the hell dso you think ytou are
elvis57 (Observer): not a rude player like you
Quiet Lion: bye

elvis57 (Observer): you might want to try and grow up

So FT takes my chat away for this. They said I harassed there pro. by telling him to grow up and act like a pro.

Is this right?

Last time I checked, there was still a 1st amendment in the US Constitution.

I guess it must have been abolished with the UIGEA.

Since when are there certain standards of behavior by being a "pro" poker player? Last time I checked they are at work and don't need bother with idiot railbirds. If he feels like you bothered him at his place of work he has a right to have support take care of it.

Here is the email i got.

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

I hope you realize that we do look at the context of the chat. However,
we take any harassment towards our players very seriously. Your chat log
shows us that you had made offensive or obscene comments towards one or
more players. We value all of our players at Full Tilt Poker, and try to
maintain a peaceful environment to play and chat simultaneously. Below
is a portion of your chat log which caused this suspension:

elvis57 (Observer): you sure are not quiet, it should be rude lion
elvis57 (Observer): you might want to try and grow up
elvis57 (Observer): who wasnt to play with a rude kid
elvis57 (Observer): a pro should act like a pro not a kid

I hope you understand that we do take chat violations very seriously,
especially when it comes to chat at a table with one of our pros. As
you may already expect, our pros are very high profile on our site so
they can be prime targets for harassment and abusive chat. For this
reason, abusive chat at a pro table is often brought to our attention
while other instances may not be. As much as we do try to maintain a
friendly and pleasant site, understandably we cannot monitor every table
at all times, and thus address instances at pro tables much more
frequently. Moreover, we want all players on our site, including our
pros, to play without feeling harassed or threatened.

Please e-mail us back after your suspension period is over and we will
be more than happy to reinstate your chat at that time. We strive to
make Full Tilt Poker the best place to play poker not only with the best
software and pros, but also by providing the best atmosphere to play
poker.

this is really lame by full tilt, but then again if all you use your chat for is to rail people and bother them...then maybe...its not so bad.

but doesnt quietlion seem a little drunk or something? his typing is horrible and it would make a lot of sense.

Observer chat is not a first amendment right. In fact, I would be fine if they abolished observer chat all together.

Regarding the case at hand, had you been playing I would just consider it table talk, and would say they over reacted. But since your only purpose for being there or saying anything seems to be to bait and annoy the "pro", I've got no problem with suspending your chat.

Wait out the suspension, ask for your chat back, and learn your lesson.

Big deal! You railed some pro and told him to quit loling some guy. Honestly, who DO you think you are? Why do you think you have the right to tell another player how to act when you aren't even in the game!

I consider myself a polite, well-mannered guy. I don't blow up in chat boxes and very rarely flame on the forums, but this is ridiculous. Please don't post crap like this and grow up.

If this kind of behavior from a rep of the site deters you from wanting to play at the site, then write an email to support. If they don't listen, then play somewhere else, or quit railing that guy. Scolding the pro through observer chat and then flaming FTP through a poker forum is absolutely ridiculous.
