Girl say says we are moving too fast trip report

So I take her out on Wednesday. We go to a bar and get pretty buzzed. I take her back to her house and we just make out and some other fun stuff, but no climax ensues.
I go to her house on Sunday, buy her flowers for her birthday, get her drunk and then have sex with her a bunch of times.
She is a teacher and missed work on Monday because we drank too much the night before. She tells me Monday that we can't get drunk anymore on weekdays because it is screwing up her work.
She calls me up today telling me we are taking it too fast. We are taking it too fast because I invited her to my house for my moms 50th birthday party on Sunday.
1 important thing to know is she is on her period. I like this girl and would like some suggestions on what to say or do in this situation.

Just chill out. I do get the impression you are all up on her. Your moms 50th birthday is somethin you invite a girl that your mom knows to.

Just give her space, go have fun without her, show her you don't need her and she will be back.

So much of the advice is sooooo soooo bad. There are some good points to what ppl are saying but it's all too systematic and scared thinking IMO.

Even dsmith is wrong and then right, lol. Don't try calling her up and logically convincing her why she should be ok with the situation, that's dumb.

However, taking steps like not calling for a few days, or "backing off" so that she *feels* like you're not all up ons isn't quite right either - altho it's a good direction.

She is having some buyers remorse from getting involved with you b/c ur making the relationship a BIG DEAL. Well it shouldn't be....yet. Sex != BIG DEAL so that is not a good reason to start acting all wacky. If you're hanging out with ur mom anyway you can invite her along but again, it's NOT A BIG DEAL. If she thinks it is, then just say you understand.

If she says you're taking it too fast you can just tell her you understand and respect that - would she like to go do something chill and non-pressurized? You can always move her to a location for sex later subtley. Right now it seems like you're telegraphing that you want her for sex....and that you want her to be ur "big deal" g/f....this is way too much pressure atm for a woman who had a drunken hookup with some dude.
