His blog entries are better written and a more interesting take on degenerate gambling than Brandon Adam's "Broke: A Poker Novel" -- even if luckyjimm's stories are from the low stakes levels.

jimm would u ever quit gambling? Ive helped myself and others quit drugs and I believe the same mental hold includes gambling. If u wanna know more pm me. later bro

Gambling for me is restricted to playing Omaha, I have no interest in any form. I'd like to be able to manage it. You know, when I get paid £425, deposit the £25 rather than the £400, that sort of thing! I've reached plenty of "rock bottoms" which would have made normal people quit, but didn't do it for me. GA did nothing for me. I didn't even want to quit after losing my flat, my job, and having to move back to my parents and spending a year living at home, the first few months with them in despair at my continued lying and deviousness as I found ways to carry on gambling and the rest of it spend going to counsellors and therapists. Instead I got an undemanding job that gave me quite a bit of spare cash, moved back to London and carried on as before.

I would just like to lose less money.

For some unknown reason, Jani stayed in his seat as if unaware he was drawing dead as the dealer created some unnecessary drama by taking his time on dealing the river. Amusingly, the last card out was an academic {6-Hearts} which gave Jani the flush he was previously looking for if called.

Ive never understood why sites cant hire people who understand hand rankings, out counting and ever so basic strategy.

Yes, but it would work much better if it was a live game - more to observe! Maybe one of the 2+2 high rollers will put up the air fare. It would be like the game a while back between four English writers who all produced different accounts of it: Martin Amis, Patrick Marber, Anthony Holden and Al Alvarez. Only better.
