Sirio, why are you fixating on this one aspect of online poker integrity that we have no control over and which is also a relatively minor problem?

The sort of ambitious young equity hounds who seem to be the perpetrators here won't be swayed by your pleas, while the rest of us are just like you--a lone schnook sitting in his house trying to win a donkament and not wheeling and dealing for every last piece of equity he can find in a tournament, whether it means bending the ethics of the game or not.

And on any given Sunday, there are hotel rooms filled with online poker experts playing the Sunday tournaments together, sharing ideas, giving advice, as well as probably swapping accounts, sharing equity and who-know-what else. The sanctity of online poker tournaments will never meet the highest standards, so I personally focus on the things I can control, knowing that there are people out there giving themselves a better chance to win through unethical practices and also knowing that I have the choice not to play. I wish it were otherwise, but this is the nature of the beast.

Also, on the other issue, I think your written English is on a higher level than 95% of the posters here.

OP,

putting the account-buying problem in EV terms does help give some financial perspective to the problem.

but is there any real feasible solution?

say the sites instigate a "one player to hand" rule...

is that really going to stop ppl from calling JJ on the phone? or stop your average EV- player from having roommates sweat him when he's deep in the sunday mil for probably the first/only time in his life?

sorry to come off as a pessimist, but i just don't see it.

i 100% agree with MLG and his posts. it's a good thing he's better at articulating his thoughts than me and posted first.

that said, i also pretty much agree with shanica.

lol shanica

BTW stealth having met you in real life i feel obligated to say i dont think you're a giant douchebag all the time, mostly just when you display that you have absolutely no ethics at all. finding out that you helped JJ multi account really pissed me off and i was pretty happy to hear your accounts were banned. (oh and i also have a problem when you bring up mlagoo in every multi accounting thread.)

man, you guys think too much. ever notice the really good players don't spend their time on the "good" side of ethics? I mean, i'm way too busy playing or formerly dissecting threads to make sure that i'm one of those people who are the 150% ROI, and when the 100% ROI buys from the 0% ROI, I'm just [censored] thrilled that I can read soem hands now the I won't get LRR'd all in.
