I would raise a little more on the flop, to like $7, but this isn't a huge deal IMO.

Button cold-calls, which usually sets off alarm bells from an unknown. Cold-calling type hands are usually made hands like a flush or set in this case or something like Ad+pair.

The turn looks good for you, but the only hand I can see the button having that you are still ahead of is Ad7x.

Check/folding with trips + meh FD seems weak, but I think that might be the correct line here? A set just boated, AQ/KQ/QJ/QT are ahead of you (the non-Q in this part of his range is probably a diamond most of the time), and a flush is still ahead of you.

Any reasonable Queen is ahead of you. Ace of diamonds can't (or shouldn't) bluff too often here because the sidepot is pretty small and not worth it. Betting Q9 is essentially the same as betting 87. It's a bluff which beats a lone Ace of diamonds. If you would bet 87 in this spot, go ahead and bet here. If not, check.

EDIT: I'm thinking check-call is better now. I stoved some and here's what I got.

Board: Qc Qd 7d 2d
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 45.402% 43.50% 01.90% 823 36.00 { Qh9d }
Hand 1: 54.598% 52.70% 01.90% 997 36.00 { 77, 33, AdTd, Ad9d, Ad8d, Ad6d, Ad5d, Ad4d, Ad3d, KQs, KdJd, KdTd, QTs+, JdTd, Td9d, Td8d, 9d8d, 8d7d, 8d6d, 7d6d, 6d5d, 6d4d, 5d4d, 5d3d, 43s, Ad7c, Ad7h, Ad7s, KQo, QTo+ }

Sorry bout that. lol I suck @ three-flush flops.

It's quite close here, first u can't be sure your Queen is the best hand on the flop, but it's not a bad play to raise on the flop

turn b/f, something like 10$ you won't get a raise from a hand you've got beat
river, if he calls and no diamon comes out and u don't imrpove to a boat - bet again something like 10$ (a blockbet) and fold again against a raise

it's also possible to play check/call on the river, but against an unknown i would prefer a blockbet

I think a coldcall here is Ad a lot more than people are suggesting. Is someone really slowplaying a set, 2p on this board? A higher Q is possible but I think we see Ad a lot here.

The vast majority of 50nl slowplays their monsters.

I think a half-pot lead is best here, 8-9, for an easy b/f. If you make it to the river unimproved c/c most reasonable bets.

I c/f the flop.

Is there really much value in playing a multi-way unraised pot with top-pair-crap-kicker-chity-draw?
