Re: Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?
[ QUOTE ]
(1) Cards speak. Its OK to correct the dealer error here. (2) Calling him pro was probably a dickish move. Saying any more than "Card's speak," and "Dealer, please call the floor," is probably inadvisable. (3) One player to a hand. The pro was out of line chiming in. How'd I do? [/ QUOTE ] 100%. |

Re: Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?
[ QUOTE ]
You were correct in pointing out the dealer error (of course). However, I have learned to just keep quiet when the pot doesn't concern me. If you say nothing, no one will think anything of it...there is a 0% chance that player 2 will start berating you (or the whole table, for that matter) for NOT correcting his own brain-dead mistake. I don't consider this to be a matter of ethics. I, for one, don't really want to take the role of a self-appointed table policeman. [/ QUOTE ] I think you should reconsider your position on this. Poker is a game of integrity. It is the obligation of all players seated at a game to maintain that integrity. This case of the dealer and player missing the straight should be corrected by any player at the table immediately. If you would wish somebody to save a pot for you then you should do the same. |

Re: Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?
The point would be to embarrass and humiliate the jerkoff schmuck, not to change the outcome. If the inappropriate comment affected the hand, it's too late to change that. But you still make the jerk suffer publicly anyway, just on principle. Then you kick him in the nuts too.

Re: Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?
1. You were correct in pointing out the winning hand. In fact it was imperative that you did so. When you see something wrong, speak up.
[ QUOTE ] Ruling I am looking for is: Player gets warning. If he does it again, he gets booted [/ QUOTE ] 2. Player 1 is a idiot. I like to play with idiots. I would do whatever was necessary to keep him at the table. I would have either said nothing, or, if I thought it might get his juices flowing, I would have stopped the action, commended him for his mental acuity, and asked him for his autograph. 3. What is a unanimous player? |

Re: Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?
its the 3/5 game in lake tahoe, the "regulars" that play there think they are the greatest of all time, even calling the game "the big game in tahoe", you were not out of line and the player you called "pro" was a local, he deserved this huge stab into his huge ego

Re: Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?
[ QUOTE ]
About 30 min. later I get involved in a fairly large pot. heads-up with an unanimous player, I bet $700 on river into a pot of $1,100. Right after I make my bet, Player 2 who is not in the hand says “Call Him! He was on a flush draw.” because he was still mad about the pot he lost. This seemed extremely out of line to me… Ruling?? [/ QUOTE ] Is this supposed to say anonymous player? |

Re: Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?
Cards speak when tabled. You have not just the right, but the responsibility to point out when the pot is pushed to the wrong player.
You should have said nothing back to the guy when he started calling everyone amateurs. Player 2, for saying what he did during the second hand, should be kicked out of the casino. |

[ QUOTE ]
Player with Dissociative Identity Disorder, all of whose personalities are in agreement on how to play the hand. [/ QUOTE ] A clear violation of the one-player-per-hand rule, but permitted as long as none of them are signing. |
